I love my wife's hardworking spirit

I love my wife's hardworking spirit.

My wife sometimes just doesn't stop. It can frustrate and annoy me, but, really, I wouldn't have her any other way. I don't think our life would be anywhere close to where we are now if my wife wasn't so hardworking. I can get lazy. My nature state is to get lazy, but my wife just keeps going.

We strike a good balance, I know when to rest and take it easy and she knows when we JUST HAVE to get things done.

I know that our family will never lack anything because of my wife's hardworking spirit.

I love my wife.

I love that my wife is an awesome mom

I know that it is hard to be a working mom. I know it's hard to "have" to be a two income family and only see your child for a little while in the morning and only a couple of hours in the evening during the week. I know it's hard to have to wake up with the baby and then go to work the next day. But my wife does it and more.

She just adores our precious little one and does everything for her. She is looking for a job closer to home with more flexible hours so that she can be with our little angel more often. It is so awesome to hear Eliya calling "mommie"! (She learnt that one on her own, because we always use the term "mama")

That only comes when you are an awesome parent to your child (yeah, now try to define "awesome parent"). When your child shows love to you and wants to be with you, that's my definition of awesome. And my wife is an awesome mom.

I love my wife.

I love my wife's efforts

It's been a while since I have written anything, but it does not mean that I have stopped loving my wife.

I am so thankful for my wife. Lately, I love the efforts she has made to show me love and to "change" the things that annoy me. In fact, I think she's doing a better job at changing herself than I am at changing myself. Too often we do not recognize our loved ones' efforts because we are constantly with them and so we do not always see the small changes. But I have recognized Cindy's efforts. I recognize her efforts to spend time with me doing "nothing" (like sit on the couch and watch a movie or a TV show)... and if you know Cindy, you know how hard it is for her to do nothing :)

My wife is awesome, and I love her!

I love my wife's perseverance

I love my wife's perseverance.

We have a wonderful baby. She is so adorable. She is so cute (not just in my eyes... that's what others say). She eats well. She's even starting to communicate with us.

However, she's been suffering with thrush. And then, there are moments when nothing we do soothes her, and she cries for a couple of hours (I'm sure some of that is the pain from the thrush).

Now, I can handle it for a bit, but I do lose it after a while. (and to anyone who would call "child protection", I don't lose it on her... but I do have to walk away and get some quiet)

However, my wife has been a rock. The thrush has infect her breasts, and she has been having pain, especially when breastfeeding. But she's been sticking with it. No postpartum. My wife is a trooper. I try to help as much as I can, but I'm sure without my wife's persevering attitude, we may have given up a long time ago.

It encourages me so much to see my wife not give up.

I love my wife's perseverance.

I love my wife's thoughtfulness

I love my wife's thoughtfulness.

We have not been on a real vacation for almost 2 years. The last one was for the thanksgiving long weekend in 2003. We've taken some days off and a weekend off here and there. But, we've really been going full-tilt at work, at home and at church.

This past weekend, we decided to make it a four day long weekend. We went away for two nights, and the other two nights we spent at home, but we kept the phone unplugged. And did that do us some good! We just spent time with each other, talking and walking. We tried not to think about or talk about work, renovations or even church "duties". It was awesome.

And the greatest thing about it, Cindy planned it all! She planned things I'd love to do (we went to Park Safari... great fun). We played mini golf. We watched a movie (Million Dollar Baby--though I'm not sure I really like the message that was being presented). We ate (Sushi, big breakfasts, brunch buffet, picnics)!!! And we simply rested, which is what I needed more than anything else.

I am just so thankful to Cindy for all the work she put into organizing this!

I love my wife.

I love that my wife is organized

I have trouble staying organized. I have a desire to be, but frustration or busyness sets in, and I lose it. My wife on the other hand is an organization superstar. But I don't mean with a desk layout or such. What I am talking about is keeping dates and tasks, and remembering them. We have a number of renovations we have to do in the house, and Cindy is all over them... Almost to the point of annoying me because I am so lost and frustrated in them. But I love her for that!

I don't know if I would get much done without her. She even sees things I miss, and adds it to the organized list of tasks and dates. One solid example I can give is, in the past, I would often miss bill payments, just because I would lose track of them. With Cindy, we have never missed a payment yet, except for one phone bill, and the only reason for that was something big happened in our family that took our attention away from that measly bill.

I love my wife.

I love my wife's attempts to show me love

This past Sunday, my wife bought me some shoes. Now, I don't need shoes... I bought a really nice pair of dress shoes less than two months ago... And they were too big... But I really appreciate the fact that she thought about buying me something.

The reason I'm writing this is because, at first, I didn't react properly. I was actually a little annoyed, because I want her to buy herself some shoes. She REALLY needs them. In spite of how I reacted at first, I really do love that my wife tries to show me love all the time and in so many varying ways.

I need to do something to show her how much I love her... I gotta go :)

I love my wife.
